a wide array of diagnostic services for cancer
patients including:
- Computed Tomography (CT or CAT scans)
- Mammography and Breast Care Center Counseling
- Stereotactic Breast Biopsies
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Needle Biopsies
- Ultrasound
- Interventional Radiology
A subspecialty of radiology in which imaging
technology is used to perform minimally invasive
procedures, such as angiograms and cardiac

Pathology
Department
Laboratory analysis is a critical element of
disease diagnosis and helps physicians select
the most appropriate treatments for cancer and
other conditions. Huntington Hospital’s
Laboratory, an integral part of its cancer program,
is accredited by the Commission on Laboratory
Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists
(CAP). The CAP certification is granted
after a rigorous site survey and indicates that
the facility has met the highest national standards
for quality.

Nuclear
Medicine
Nuclear Medicine is a medical
specialty that involves the use of safe and small
amounts of radioactive material to produce images
of body anatomy and function for the diagnosis
and treatment of disease. The Nuclear
Medicine Department at Huntington Hospital
provides diagnostic and therapeutic services
for outpatients as well as inpatients. A full
range of services is provided.
