MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST
HOURS: Part time (evening shift
) alternating weekends & rotating holidays
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or Biological Sciences
DESCRIPTION: Indiviual will perform various chemical and microscopic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis. Indiviual responsible for recording laboratory test results.
REQUIREMENTS: B.S. Degree in Medical Technology, in addition to being ASCP-MT eligible with one year experience as a Class 20 Medical Technologist at Huntington Hospital or be a graduate of a B.S. degree program in Biological studies and have at least one year experience as a Class 20 Medical Technologist at Huntington Hospital. New York State license or limited permit required. Blood Bank experience is required. Good Customer Service skills are a must.
