The Labor and Delivery Suite offers sophisticated
technology including bedside computer documentation
in a family centered care environment. Both natural
childbirth and pain management during labor, including
epidural analgesia, are offered. Labor and Delivery
nurses also have the opportunity to be cross-trained
for the postpartum and nursery units. A variety of
continuing education classes are offered in this challenging
and rewarding area including a Neonatal Resuscitation
certification class given annually. Each year, there
are approximately 2000 deliveries at Huntington Hospital.
