CENTER FOR ORTHOPEDICS AND JOINT REPLACEMENT
SURGERY
The mission of this 24-bed unit is to provide high
quality personalized care to the orthopedic patient.
The unit is designed to care for patients undergoing
elective joint replacement surgery as well as those
who have had surgery for orthopedic trauma. The care
is provided by highly specialized nurses who also
collaborate in patient care with the Physical Therapy
and Social Work Departments.
A pre-op joint replacement class is taught by the
Nurse Manager and her staff along with members of the
Physical Therapy Department. This informative class
familiarizes patients with their upcoming surgery,
hospitalization and recovery.
