3 EAST and 3 NORTH
3 EAST

Huntington Hospital’s two Telemetry Units
provide newly diagnosed cardiac patients as well
as chronically ill cardiac patients with individual,
hands-on care. Direct care nurses use evidence-based
practices to achieve high quality patient care
outcomes.
3 NORTH

Telemetry nurses receive comprehensive
ongoing education and skills development which
makes them highly competent in their nursing
practice. Nurses work in collaboration with a
multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
ensuring that patients and families have a positive
experience on the units. The unit’s new
Phillips Telemetry System compliments the experienced
nurses with high-tech continuous monitoring to
provide a safe environment of care. Patients
and their families are encouraged to actively
participate in identifying educational needs.
As part of the discharge plan, nurses work with
patients to develop individualized cardiac education
plans of care. The unit is fast paced due to
the high volume of patient admissions/discharges
each day.
