Huntington Hospital's Emergency Department experiences over 44,000 visits a year. The unit is staffed by full-time, Emergency physicians with greater than fourteen years of experience in emergency medicine.

Area Trauma Center
Huntington is designated a Level II Area Trauma Center by the New York State Department of Health. The hospital is equipped and staffed to care for victims of serious accidents. Huntington Hospital is one of only four hospitals in Suffolk County named an Area Trauma Center.
